Alya Somar
Alya Somar is an up and coming writer from Mississauga, Ontario. A love for both reading and writing since an early age has fueled her talent, as well as creativity. Being the daughter of two Guyanese immigrants is an integral part of her identity as she continues to carve out space for Caribbean writing in Canadian Literature, and more. Alya is currently pursuing an Honours Bachelor's Degree in Creative Writing and Publishing at Sheridan College.
