Suhana K. Rampersad
Suhana K. Rampersad is a poet and writer of Trinidadian descent. Having completed the Creative Writing program at York University in Toronto, she took her talents to Instagram and developed a poetry page, where she shares poems grounded in culture, feminism, love and womanhood. Suhana is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s in Education, with the goal of becoming a teacher who empowers young people through education. Her other hobbies include baking (she can make a mean batch of brownies!) and dancing — having trained in Indo-Caribbean dance styles since the age of 5. She hopes to use writing as a means to preserve heritage and history, while exploring different aspects of the Caribbean community and identity.
