The Caribbean Collective Power List is our annual recognition of Caribbean women whose leadership, creativity, and influence extend beyond national borders — and whose work is actively shaping industries, communities, and global conversations right now.
This is not a lifetime achievement award. It is not a popularity contest. It is a deliberate, annually reviewed record of Caribbean women operating at the highest levels of their fields — women whose work reflects the resilience, innovation, and cultural depth that define Caribbean excellence at its best.
The Power List was created because Caribbean women have long shaped the world without always receiving credit for it. We intend to change that — one list, one year, one woman at a time.
Each year, the CC Mag editorial team reviews nominations and conducts independent research to identify women whose influence meets our criteria.
We consider women across the full Caribbean diaspora — from the islands themselves and from Caribbean communities across the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and beyond.
Honorees are selected based on five criteria, each evaluated for current impact rather than historical legacy alone.
1. Global Leadership and Influence
The honoree holds a position — formal or cultural — that shapes decisions, conversations, or outcomes beyond her immediate community or nation.
2. Industry Impact and Innovation
Her work has measurably changed the field she operates in, whether through founding, leading, creating, or advocating.
3. Cultural Reach and Representation
She amplifies Caribbean identity, heritage, or visibility in ways that expand how the world understands the region and its diaspora.
4. Advocacy and Social Impact
Her platform is used in service of something larger than personal advancement — communities, policies, equity, or justice.
5. Contributions to the Caribbean Diaspora
Her work strengthens, celebrates, or advances the lives of Caribbean people across the globe.
Honorees are not ranked. The list is ordered editorially, not by hierarchy of importance.
The number attached to each entry is simply a navigation tool, not a verdict.
The Power List is not exhaustive. Twenty names cannot contain the full breadth of Caribbean women doing extraordinary work — and we recognize that.
Instead, the Power List represents a carefully curated group of leaders vetted from around the globe.
It does not favor celebrity over impact. What you will find is a diverse range of leaders across industries. A woman building genomic research infrastructure in Bermuda and a global music icon are held to the same standard:
What is she doing right now, and how does it positively represent or advance the Caribbean community?
The Power List is reviewed annually. Inclusion one year does not guarantee inclusion the next. The list reflects current power — not permanent status. This ensures the recognition remains honest and continues to spotlight new voices alongside established ones.

The CC Mag Power List grows stronger every year because our community helps us discover women the world has not caught up to yet.
If you know a Caribbean woman making an undeniable impact in her field — whether she has a million followers or a hundred — we want to hear about her.
Nominations are open year-round. Every submission is reviewed as part of our annual editorial process.
You do not need to know the person personally to nominate them.
You do need to explain clearly what she has done and why it matters.
